Annual Accounts for 2006/07

The Annual Return for 2006/07 has now been concluded by the external auditor, Hacker Young. The accounts are available for inspection by any local government elector for the area on application to the Clerk, 13 Station Road, Ratby, Tel. 0116 2390167 between 10.00am to 12 noon Monday to Friday.

PRECEPT 2008/09
As will be evident, the Parish Council has installed new Toddler play equipment at Ferndale Park. The surfacing in the original toddler play area will be redone in April 2008. Work is also in hand to replace the footbridge from the Flower Meadow. Extra funding is also being sought for further developments for the youth of the community and discussions are on going with regard to establishing a Youth facility and also for refurbishment of the play equipment at Burroughs Recreation area. Funding has also been obtained for the provision of National Forest Signage to replace some existing village notices at each of the entrances to Ratby. The Precept for 2008/09 was agreed at the Parish Council meeting held on Tuesday, 4th December 2007. Details of the Precept budget as follows:

The Council’s estimated budget for the year commencing 1 April 2008 amounts to £117,612. However, by using reserves the Council have managed to reduce the requested precept to £93,000. This budget will allow the Parish Council to continue to provide improved facilities in the village.
