COMMUNITY SPEED WATCH
The Community Speed Watch Scheme has been rescheduled for week commencing 12th April 2010 for 4 weeks and again for a 2 week period commencing 20th September 2010. A training session will be held at the Methodist Church Rooms, Chapel Lane, Ratby on Thursday 8th April from 7 - 9pm.
All those people who volunteered to take part in the operation of the scheme will be contacted by letter shortly.
The Parish Council would like to thank all those who supported the scheme.
LDF SITE ALLOCATIONS
SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT SITE ALLOCATIONS?
The Parish Council is calling an Open Meeting for residents on Thursday, 26th March 2009 at 7-8pm in order to receive comments/observations on the LDF (Local Development Framework) Preferred Site Allocations within Hinckley & Bosworth Borough. Meeting will take place at the Methodist Church Rooms, Chapel Lane, Ratby.

M1 WIDENING

Following limited Public Consultation for this area on the above scheme, Ratby Parish Council are no further forward as to what, if anything will happen or how it will affect us. What is certain is that Section 2 of the plan involves J21 – J24a and will involve the taking of some land. Until the Highways Agency discloses its Preferred Route Option we do not know what this means for Ratby. Ratby Parish has properties adjacent to the North bound side of the motorway on Groby Road, Dane Hill and Ferndale Community Park itself.

There are also issues regarding noise, dust and pollution. All we do know is that works are planned to start in 2010 and be completed by 2015.

If you have concerns regarding this matter, please write to the Parish Council and we will endeavour to have them addressed.
